Driver’s cab and interior for the EKr1 “Tarpan” EMU

For the EKr1 “Tarpan” high-speed electric multiple unit, IBT GmbH developed, manufactured and installed key cab and interior components.

Project scope

• Driver’s cab module
• Interiors for first-, second- and third-class coaches and VIP areas
• Wall and ceiling panels for vestibules and staff compartments, including furniture elements
• Interior equipment for sanitary areas
• Buffet and restaurant-car interiors, including panels, counters and preparation and serving tables
• Control desk enclosure prepared for customer-installed instruments and equipment
• Sanitary cabins for passenger coaches

The supplied systems were designed for passenger comfort and safety as well as straightforward maintenance and repair.
